Southern Sky Time-lapse

This is the first time I've tried using the computer controlled setup to capture a star field time-lapse.  The 21 seconds of this video spans the 8 1/2 hours from 10:00pm, February 26, to 6:30am February 27, 2014.  I set the capture rate at one exposure per minute, with each exposure lasting 15 seconds at 500 ISO, an aperture of 3.5, and a focal length of 18mm.

Also, when shooting either lightning or the night sky, I prefer too set the camera's white balance to the "florescent light" setting.  This accentuates the blues and violets. While not very true to life as far as the color goes, I feel this helps lend a more dramatic appearance to the shots.

In post-processing of the stills, I bumped up the saturation to enhance the colors, and heightened the contrast to make the stars "pop out" a little better.  The twinkling effect is, I believe, a result of artifacts caused by the video render.
