"Here I go again on my own!"
Once again, I have changed the way things look around here. The old look was getting a bit stagnant anyway.
Sometime back I removed the sidebar in order to devote all of my available space to content. At the time it seemed like a good idea. However this had the consequence of removing the links to all of my previous posts, which left me no option but to put them all on one page, which in turn made the loading time atrocious.
But that's only half the story. My real motivation has to do with the trip I'll be taking to Europe.
A lot more of my friends are going to be seeing this place, and I wanted to spruce things up a bit before I had more company over. :-) So now, I've returned to a more traditional, if somewhat minimal, appearance. I think this look is perhaps a little easier on the eyes anyway.
Now, about Europe:
I'm going on a Bethel Coach Tour from September 19 to October 1. The trip is 13 days, 12 nights, and starts in Frankfurt, Germany. From there, it runs through Holland, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, and back into Germany. After that, I'll be staying in country a couple of extra days in order to visit a little place called Wurschen, which has an old manor house of the same name. I mean, for goodness sake, I would be most remiss if I went all the way to Germany and didn't make the effort to visit the ancestral homestead.
I'm just about all set up to go. I've made my reservation, I've got my passport, and I'm taking my camera and my new laptop. So I'll be making daily updates about my experiences, and about all the new friends I'll be meeting.
Should be a blast!
